About Ghritachi
One of the six foremost Apsaras, whose beauty stands behind three births in the epic. Bharadwaja saw her rising from the Ganga with her attire disordered and Drona was born of what followed; Pramati begot Ruru upon her, the ancestor of Saunaka's line; and when Vyasa, rubbing his fire-sticks in the woods, was smitten by her, she took the form of a she-parrot, and from that seed came Suka.
