Who was Mandhata?
Mandhata (मान्धाता): Emperor of the Whole Earth, one of the sages and supporting figures in the Mahabharata. Son of Yuvanaswa, born from his father's side after the king drank the consecrated butter meant for his queen, and suckled on Indra's own finger, from which he took his name.

About Mandhata
Son of Yuvanaswa, born from his father's side after the king drank the consecrated butter meant for his queen, and suckled on Indra's own finger, from which he took his name. He grew to manhood in a hundred days and brought the whole earth under him in a single day, vanquishing Angada, Marutta and Vrihadratha; the land from sunrise to sunset is called the field of Mandhata. Late in his reign he performed a great sacrifice simply to look at Narayana, and was answered by a god wearing Indra's shape.
