Sudarshana Chakra (sudarśana cakra)

The Sudarshana Chakra is Krishna's spinning discus, given to him by Agni at Khandava, which returns to his hand after every throw and is never used lightly. It ends Shishupala at the Rajasuya when the hundred insults Krishna promised to forgive have been counted out, and it hides the sun at Kurukshetra so that Jayadratha will step out into what he thinks is a safe dusk. Krishna also raises it against Bhishma in a moment of fury, breaking his own vow not to fight, and Bhishma welcomes it.
