About Daivarati
The famous king of Janaka's race in Mithila, conversant with the import of every question, who put to Yajnavalkya the whole enquiry into the senses, Prakriti, the Unmanifest and the limits of age. Having received from him the knowledge of Emancipation, he gave away kine, gold and gems to the Brahmanas, installed his son over the Videhas, and lived out his years in the practices of the Yatis.
