About Avikshit
A righteous emperor born at the opening of the Treta age, equal to Indra in heroism, whom all kings obeyed. He performed hundreds of horse sacrifices with Angiras himself as his priest, and his son Marutta surpassed him and set off the long quarrel with Brihaspati and the gods.
