Who was Kolahala?
Kolahala (कोलाहल): The Living Mountain, one of the sages and supporting figures in the Mahabharata. A mountain endued with life who, maddened by lust, fell upon the river Suktimati where she ran past the capital of Uparichara Vasu in Chedi.

About Kolahala
A mountain endued with life who, maddened by lust, fell upon the river Suktimati where she ran past the capital of Uparichara Vasu in Chedi. Vasu saw the outrage and struck the mountain with his foot, and the river came out of his embrace through the indentation. The twins Kolahala had already begotten on her were given by the grateful river to the king: the son became commander of his forces, and the daughter Girika became his queen.
